Kinetic Typgraphy from Jacob Gilbreath
Kinetic Typography is truly the next form for visual poetry. It can add a cadence and design before limited by the page or even before, type cases. You can go 3d, backwards, forwards, different faces and colors changing before your eyes! I'll have to get my animator boyfriend to teach me after affects if I ever want to take a stab at it myself.
Here are two videos from artist Jacob Gilbreath, the first was featured by Behance.
another kinetic typography video, less interesting type but talking about one of my favorite colors:

Draw Pilgrim
On the Etsy blog, Pilgrim Lee expands on the As seen on Etsy feature of her blog. She's got a rainbow bright retro feel to her drawings and designs and advocates for such decore in the home especially when moving from one beige apartment to the next. I couldn't agree more!
Here are some type driven pieces from her Etsy page:

Neutraface
It's not often I meet a sans serif that sticks out from the bunch. So, thank you House Industries for always supplying just enough quirk. When I start my own business, I'll buy this for my brand.
Sagmeister TED Talk
in the last minute or so, Sagmeister illustrates some "things he's learned" in amazing photographic typography.

"Schools Kill Creativity"
I've been reading a lot lately about creativity in schools and well, basically in general. In the future, the only thing that will separate people from robots is creativity- at least in my opinion.
Here's a great article from Newsweek about the situation.

Type Scrabble
Andrew Clifford Capener came up with the best idea ever: pitch a typophile's version for Scrabble.

The idea was to excite people about typography by giving them the ability to choose what font their scrabble set would come in. The set would be available in the font of your choice or with an assorted font pack. Additional font packs (including your favorite font) could be ordered through Scrabble's website.

Senosiain
I'm in love. Architect Javier Senosiain believes in mimicking nature when it comes to the forms and shapes of his living structures whenever possible. He also designs lovely modern structures, but these commissions are my favorites:
